And I am happy to say I have received my sketchbook and already have made some fine "improvements" to it! I will share below in pictures. My theme this year is....ENCYCLOPEDIA OF...which is a pretty open idea. I already have the cover pretty much done and the idea down...I know I want it to look old and used and dusty and ripped...but it will be chock full of sarcastic entries and drawings! My big problem at the moment is what to title it...I don't want to be lame and just call it "Encyclopedia of..." but it needs a cool name. Hmmmm this may be one of the last things I do because it has to be a great name. I think the cover so far came out awesome. I used acrylic paints, book tape, cotton balls and Elmer's glue to get the effect I was after...I wanted it to have a lot of texture and the cotton and glue performed perfectly in that arena. Now the cover looks like something you might find in an old attic. Then i signed each one from me and my husband! So, you should all come by and walk thru the haunted manor....<div>Anyway....we have been planning and designing since last Halloween.<div>we happen to come upon this light blue wing back chair that was in great shape, it just needed some TLC...i had visions of this great red velvet chair that would go perfectly in the Haunted Mansion we are planning! So, i told my husband i would be happy to cover the chair and add all the details I had envisioned in my head....So, i did....it was so much fun too and i really like the way it came out. I've been looking for an affordable bust, or form, to showcase my many many neck cowls and scarves for my online shop...soooooooo I was super excited today to find out that there was a warehouse 15 minutes away that sells forms and busts for a very affordable price!
